I made it to JAFA 2013 and attended 2 full days of activities. The venue is mainly at the suburb of Reid at Canberra.

In order to prepare to attend the Grand Napoleonic Ball on Saturday night, dance classes were offered during Friday and Saturday. For beginners like us, it was important to attend the first dance class of the day which started at 9am till 10:30am. It was fun to learn. I have been to numbers of Regency and Heritage balls, but still I forget the steps and I am still a beginner. Experienced dancers (they usually belong to some historical dance club) were around to help and show us the proper ways.

Apart from dance classes, there were lots of workshops during the day to keep you occupied as well as outdoor activities, such as archery.

I see a Lynne! And you! :)

There were lots of familiar faces and good to see them again. Seeing how other people dresses, gave me lots of inspirations.

We had lots of fun. It was the first time that G participated in dance practice and he enjoyed it.
